Model TL-WN422NC may simply be this adapter with an included cradle (and name change).

Invalid FCC ID!

The device is identical to TL-WN722N except USB ID, so that under Linux (or with modified Windows drivers) 802.11n works.

TL-WN422N V2 might work slow,packet loss in Windows 8.1 with "TL-WN422G_V2_Win8_Beta"(11/30/2012) drivers from TP-LINK website-> for fix use TL-WN722N_V1_131113(11/13/2013) from TP_LINK. This Win8.1 drivers works great http://www.tp-link.com/en/support/download/?model=TL-WN722N&version=V1
