Netgear's tech specs claim that this device contains a "Powerful 1.6GHz combined processor." It's possible that Netgear has added up the speeds of multiple separate chips (or cores) to reach the 1.6 GHz number. The speed of the BCM3384 CPU is unknown and there is another unidentifiable chip in the device that could be a second CPU.
