Product Page
Intended for Sony Blu-ray disc players and TVs. Configuration (Mobile Use).pdf on the FCC listing claims that this adapter will not work on Windows/Linux PCs since no drivers will be available.
The adapter uses the AR7010 + AR9280 chipset (the AR9280 is readable from FCC photos) which is only found in a few other devices. Assuming Sony locked their devices to the 0411:017f USB ID, no alternative devices will work without modification.
The adapter works with ath9k_htc in a Linux environment and with the driver provided to the right in a Windows environment.
The device has the regdomain of 0x6a (World roaming) in the EEPROM.
"8WUSND06S2A1G" is silkscreened on the board in the FCC photos. The manufacturer may be Alpha Networks.
